Tour Description
Day 01
ARRIVAL-DELHI
Arrive in Delhi, where you are met and transferred to your airport hotel.
Day 2
PARO & THIMPHU, BHUTAN
Fly to Paro, and enjoy the beautiful architecture of Bhutan as well as their preserved culture. See the National Memorial Chorten before going to Thimphu, admiring the scenery and visiting a Buddhist monastery known as Tashichho Dzong. Later, you will gather for a welcome dinner in this fascinating country.
Day 3
PUNAKHA
Drive over the Dochula Pass and into Punakha, a small city in Bhutan. Along the way, you can stop at Chimi Lhakhang to see prayer flags in bright colors. When you reach Punakha Dzong, this palace is aptly named and unsurprisingly prolific in aspects of happiness.
Day 4
THIMPHU
One of today's activities is to hike the Wangditse Nature Trail for two hours, which will give you stunning views. There are also to offer butter lamps at a monastery in Thimphu or explore Folk Heritage and National Textile museums. Another option is to go to Pangrizampa, where you can have a consultation with an astrologer. You can also practice meditation with an expert and make it a full day of activities. Tonight, enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 5
PARO
Visit the Bhutan countryside, stop in Paro to see the National Museum of Bhutan and then on to Rinpung Dzong to explore a monastery and fortress
Day 6
PARO
Today, you have the opportunity to climb to Taktsang Monastery (“Tiger’s Nest”). This hike is intentionally difficult, intended as an arduous pilgrimage for Buddhist devotees. To celebrate your accomplishment, drink Champagne when you descend the mountain and have a picnic breakfast.
Day 7
KATHMANDU, NEPAL
Fly to Kathmandu. Ride Like a Local by rickshaw to Kathmandu Durbar Square and Taleju Temple, see the House of the Living Goddess (Kumari), and stroll through the bazaar and old city. Continue to Swayambhunath, one of the most sacred shrines for Tibetan Buddhists. Later, hear a lecture by a summiter on the epic challenge of scaling Mount Everest.
Day 8
KATHMANDU
Visit Pashupatinath, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Then, experience Kopan Nunnery and Monastery by joining a privately guided meditation session given by a monk or nun within our spiritual experience. Return to Boudhanath to visit the Buddhist shrine that is one of the largest in the world and explore scenic views on a Scenic Sundowner.
Day 9
KATHMANDU
Explore Patan to see Durbar Square and the former royal palace. Participate in a Chef ’s Table cooking class at a local family’s home, learning about local cuisine and daily life in Nepal. Later, savor a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 11
DEPATURE
On Day 10, fly to Delhi, where you enjoy the use of an executive room, available through Day 11, when you depart on your flight home.
