The Delhi Delights 1-day tour package takes you to the crown jewel attractions of Delhi. The city of Delhi consists of two components: Old Delhi, the historical city in the north, and New Delhi, the capital of India. The city is known for different civilizations and was raised and rebuilt seven times over the last 2000 years. The most exciting part of your tour will be riding a 3-wheel cycle rickshaw in the crowded city of Delhi.

Day 1

Arrive in Delhi

Welcome to India!

9:00 AM
Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at your hotel and introduce you to your full day tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi.

- We begin on a guided tour of New Delhi, visiting the famous Qutub Minar, a 72 meters Iron Pillar which survived for over 1500 years. Then, we drive to the Lutyens Delhi known to be the corridors of power and serenity.

- Following our drive pass to the Lutyens Delhi area, we stop at the famous Humayun’s Tomb built in 1586, the first distinct example of the proper Mughal style inspired by Persian architecture.

- Our tour also includes a drive pass through the Rashtrapati Bhawan; this vast, intricate work of mixed Mughal and Western architecture is one of the largest presidential residences in the world. We will also visit the Parliament House and the majestic India Gate – a powerful tribute to our brave soldiers.

- After a short break, we cross the walled gates of the Old City to visit the Jamma Mosque built-in 1650 and drive through the Chandni Chowk (known as Moonlight Square), where a crowd of shoppers and vendors meet in the oldest area of Delhi.

- We conclude with a visit to the Raj Ghat and nearby Ghats, where the founder of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and after that Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were cremated.

- The most exciting part of your tour is experiencing riding a rickshaw. A rickshaw is a 3-wheel cycle consisting of 3 seats. The rickshaw driver sits on a small cushion in the front and two passengers behind the sofa seats.
